CrossFit is usually described as "Constantly Varied, High Intensity, and Functional Movements". We all
recognize those words, but in that sentence they don’t make a whole lot of sense. Basically, we take the best parts of cardio, gymnastics, kettlebells, power and Olympic lifting, and build workouts.
Classes are varied so you never get bored, uses functional movements that the human body is designed to do and use in real life, and once you have the technique down we add intensity to the mix.
Classes take 1 hour and include a warm up and technique session, a work out, and cool down. You will get healthier, faster, stronger, and you will look and feel better!
World-Class Fitness in 100 Words:
and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and no sugar. Keep intake to levels that will support exercise but not body fat. Practice and train major lifts: Deadlift, clean, squat,
presses, C&J, and snatch. Similarly, master the basics of gymnastics: pull-ups, dips, rope climb, push-ups, sit-ups, presses to handstand, pirouettes, flips, splits, and holds. Bike, run, swim,
row, etc, hard and fast. Five or six days per week mix these elements in as many combinations and patterns as creativity will allow. Routine is the enemy. Keep workouts short and intense. Regularly
learn and play new sports. ~Coach Greg Glassman, CrossFit Founder and CEO (Courtesy of CrossFit Inc.)
